Terms of Service (ToS)
Welcome to tel-at-P. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Platform Features and User Conduct
tel-at-P is a dynamic social mapping platform that allows users to create profiles, utilize AI-generated "WORDS" based on profile missions, write stories, capture localized pictures, and pin them to geographic locations.
- Acceptable Use: You agree to use the app respectfully. You may not post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
- Explicit Content Ban: We enforce a strict, zero-tolerance policy for sexually explicit content, extreme violence, or hate speech. Violating this rule will result in an immediate and permanent account ban without the possibility of appeal.
- Geographic Pinning & "Story Destination": Our platform allows you to pin posts to your current physical location or to custom locations using the "Story Destination" feature. You must not use these features to dox, stalk, or harass individuals, nor to falsely represent restricted, private, or secure geographic areas.
2. Intellectual Property and Content Rights
- Your Content & Limited Technical License: You retain absolute ownership of the original text and images you create. To make the application function, we require a limited technical license. By uploading content to tel-at-P, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license strictly to host, securely store, and display your content on our platform. We do not sell your content, nor do we reproduce or distribute it for external marketing or commercial exploitation.
- Automated Formatting & Watermarking: By using the app's camera feature, you agree to our automated formatting process. Captured images will be automatically composited with the associated Profile's logo and a timestamp in the top right corner, as well as the selected prompt "WORD" in the bottom center.
- AI-Generated Content: The text prompts and profile "WORDS" generated by our integrated Artificial Intelligence services are provided "as is." You are responsible for the final output and how you utilize these elements within the app ecosystem.
- "Story Destination" Profile Assets: Profile creators are responsible for providing the image grids displayed on the second tab of a "Story Destination" post. If you are a profile creator, you legally warrant that you own or have the explicit right to display and share these images.
3. Account Security
User authentication is managed through secure, enterprise-grade cloud architecture. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the app, to our infrastructure, or to third parties.
Intellectual Property & Innovation Notice
EchoMap / tel-at-P is a protected innovation.
- Patent Pending: The unique methods, processes, and systems related to our collaborative word-pairing logic, real-time metadata photo compositing, dual-tab destination viewing, and coordinate-based event mapping are the subject of pending patent applications (CIPC/International).
- Proprietary Technology: All software architecture, algorithmic matching, and user interface designs are the exclusive property of tel-at-P and Xabiso Zabo.
- Anti-Copycat Policy: We actively monitor global and local markets for unauthorized use of our "Computer-Implemented Processes." Any unauthorized reproduction, imitation, or "passing off" of our specific event-flow logic or mapping interfaces will be met with swift legal action to the fullest extent of international IP law.
- Invention Status: This platform is an original invention designed in Makhanda, South Africa, for the global community. We fiercely protect the integrity of original ideas.

Your experience is live; your identity is protected.
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa and global privacy standards (GDPR), tel-at-P is committed to data minimization and transparency.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and basic profile data using secure, encrypted authentication services.
- User-Generated Content: We collect the stories you write and the images you capture. Images are securely transmitted and hosted using enterprise-level Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
- Location Data: To utilize our mapping interfaces, we process geolocation data. This includes your current location for live-pinning and custom coordinates you select when using the "Story Destination" feature.
- AI Interaction Data: Text inputs, profile descriptions, and selections used to generate profile "WORDS" or stories are processed through secure third-party AI language models to deliver the platform's core experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate, maintain, and securely host the tel-at-P application.
- To accurately composite your images with necessary data (timestamps, logos, words) and display your pinned pictures and stories on the public live map.
- To process your text prompts through AI securely to deliver storytelling features.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and maintain a secure environment.
3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with essential, vetted third-party service providers required to run the app infrastructure:
- Cloud & Authentication Partners: For secure database storage, user identity verification, and application hosting.
- Media Delivery Networks: For fast, secure image processing, cloud hosting, and delivery.
- AI Processing Partners: For processing text to provide dynamic storytelling elements.
- Mapping Providers: For rendering the visual map interface and translating coordinate data.
4. Anonymized Analytics
While your chosen username, words, and coordinates appear on our Live Map, we map the venue's energy, not your personal movements. We may provide profile creators or event organizers with aggregated, non-identifiable data (the "pulse of the crowd") to improve their venues, but your direct contact information is never shared.
5. Your Rights (Right to Erase)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal data. Want your pin off the map? You can delete your event profile or posts at any time, which immediately removes your data from the live venue feed and our servers. You may exercise these rights directly through the app settings or by contacting our support team.
